About the Job

The Business Operational Analyst II will be a member of the Finance team directly supporting the Sales Finance & Operations Organization. The role is based at Akamai’s Bangalore Office, India, and will be focusing on reporting and analytics for Sales Finance, specifically revenue: in-depth reporting of product and country performance, support of annual planning and global reporting, and other ad-hoc as required.

As a member of a growing team, this person will be in the forefront of professionalizing a reporting analytics environment supporting a fast-growing division within the company. He/she will be looked upon to develop superior analyses and value-add support to the organization by bringing creativity and enthusiasm to the job, while drawing upon past experiences.

About the Team

The Sales Finance & Operations team acts as a key business partner to Sales leadership, owns the framework that operationalizes sales strategy, helps Sales leadership improve their understanding of operating results by managing the operational cadence, and providing timely and accurate business insight and analysis to the management team. The team also manages all financial and budgeting aspects of the organizations they support and provides governance around commercial decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely booking reporting of monthly results and key business drivers /metrics.

  • Analyzing area/regional sales performance, monthly forecast, sales outlooks.

  • Collaborating with sales team to help improve the overall performance of the business.

  • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative, work with prescriptive guidelines, and prioritize time effectively (for themselves, and eventually – the team) to deliver accurate results in a timely manner.

  • Perform ad-hoc business analyses/reports and provide analytical support as needed

  • Work with other functional leaders to centralize reports and analysis

  • Interact with the sales leaders and provide them with business Insight

Basic Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Management, or Business Administration.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably worked in a similar Sales Ops role.

  • English proficiency

  • Systems Proficiency: Saleforce.com, Excel (Macros), PowerPoint

  • Ready to work in EMEA / US Shift

Desired Experience

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to provide data-backed analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with large amounts of data and ability to multi-task.

  • Able to understand reporting requirement, envision output, and drive strong quality

  • Able to understand business implication of team output – be a Good team player.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter" with the ability to self-motivate in a fast paced, deadline driven, environment.

  • Ability and Flexibility to Adopt to changes

  • Previous experience of Interacting with sales team and sales leaders

  • Able to have good communication with people across various teams

  • Run Projects Independently

  • Have good sense on timeline and deliverables

  • Able to meet the business SLAs
