Description

Financial:

  • Assist Branch Head in management of Branch expenses

  • Create opportunities for cost saving/identification of revenue seepage and implement such initiatives

  • Managing branch vendors, constant tracking and review of their performance

  • Customer Interface

  • Interface with customers on Ops related issues

  • Educate customers with respect to Ops requirements, Process and Regulatory changes

  • Liaise with customers/sales teams on structuring of complex transactions

Process:

  • Manage daily operations of the Ops desk as per the bank's operating policies

  • Keep abreast of the changing RBI/Gov't regulations with respect to Banking and ensure that the operating procedures are in line with them

  • Constantly review processes and identify changes (both process and technology changes) that will help in:

  • Better Cost Control

  • Greater risk management

  • Faster turnaround times for the customers

  • Decrease in manpower requirements of the bank

  • Providing more detailed MIS to the management and

  • Overall better service to the customers

  • Work with Product and Technology to conceptualize, develop and implement process changes and new technologies

  • Manage periodic audits

  • Define user requirements and conduct User Acceptance Tests for new system implementations

People:

  • Manage a team of staff reportees - leaves, training requirements, work allocation, job rotation, performance management

  • Work in multi functional teams for specific projects

  • Conduct training for fellow officers and staff
